Move With Ease. Treat With Confidence.

This is not just about doing more—it’s about doing it differently. Reclaim your flow and confidence when treating the lower body with simple, sustainable strategies that work with your body, not against it.

Overview:

This lower body focused workshop hones our clinical crafting towards the therapeutic treatment of the lumbar spine, hip flexors & gluteal structures – areas often loaded with tension.  With an emphasis on easeful mechanics for the working therapist, fluid transitions and foundational mobility tools, this two day experiential workshop offers techniques that integrate seamlessly.  Expect clear demos, plenty of hands on practice (give & receive) and grounded, intuitive guidance every step of the way.

Detailed Outline & Learning Objectives:

  • Sustainable techniques for addressing deep pelvic and lumbar tension
  • Multi-angled & focused access to QL, hip flexors and glutes
  • Side-lying, supine, and creative draping positions for better access without strain
  • Functional mobility drills and positioning tricks you can teach clients—or use as therapist resets
  • Fascially-inspired manual work for the lower body
  • How to integrate small tools and bolster support for comfort and longevity
  • The art of “less effort, more effect” when working with dense or guarded tissue
  • Alternative hand & forearm techniques with gravity assisted skills
  • Therapist-centered mechanics for lunge-based techniques
  • Deep flow in time: stitching techniques together in a client-ready rhythm
  • Business & boundaries roundtable: refining your treatments & talking treatment plans (round table discussion will be further refined with input from the pre-workshop participant surveys)

What to bring:

  • Table & linen
  • Pillows: 2 large pillows, 3 small pillows
  • Shoulder bolsters
  • Blanket / heating pad (optional)
  • Preferred gel/oil/lotion

This workshop is ideal for RMTs who:

  • Want to treat hips and low backs more effectively without fatiguing their own
  • Are looking for mobility-informed manual therapy
  • Appreciate learning in a body-aware, exploratory setting
  • Value practical tools that improve both client outcomes and therapist sustainability
