Is my professional liability insurance coverage still in effect?
Yes, your professional liability insurance is still very much in effect and it has been throughout the duration of the provincial State of Emergency/mandated cessation of practice.

Will my professional liability insurance cover me during COVID-19?
Although you have professional liability insurance, it is not going to cover you in all circumstances and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Yes, it is there as a protective measure, but if you are found negligent of wrongdoing (regardless of the scenario), it will not provide immunity from liability in all situations. Ultimately, everyone’s particular practice situation will be different, and it is best to speak directly with LMI if you have any concerns regarding this or if you would like further clarification, please contact:
