This course teaches the therapist how to teach patients about pain science in a treatment framework that still utilizes specific/corrective exercise and manual therapy.  Therapists are taught a model of treatment that simplifies the assessment process and the treatment. \nLearning Style \nThis course is a mix of a discussion-based lecture\, case studies and practical components.  The practical components are used with the case studies to “feel” the interventions.  However\, there are no “specific” techniques.  Rather\, the point is to show that the framework helps the therapist use their own techniques but in a different way.  Further\, we can then share “techniques” from all participants in the class.  Exercises are demonstrated and time is given to practice these exercises.  When exploring how Key Messages relate to pain and changing behaviour the practical component helps the therapist use their own experiences and “stories” to fit with the Key Messages of pain and behaviour change. \nObjectives \n\nProvide assessment techniques to aid in diagnosis and management of common musculoskeletal complaints\nDemonstrate how biomechanical treatments and explanations can address the multidimensional nature of pain\nDemonstrate how cognitive restructuring and goal setting of meaningful activities can be used alongside mechanical treatments to address the multidimensional nature of pain\nProvide and teach exercise prescription that is informed by biomechanics and therapeutic neuroscience\nExplain the “pain science” behind common clinical problems and learn methods of applying therapeutic neuroscience education\nIdentify and use their current movement-based skills within a graded exposure and graded activity paradigm\n\nLectures \nModule 1: Course Introduction and Clinical Decision Making (1 hour and 15 minutes) \n\nA review of the multidimensional nature of pain will occur\nClinical questions and themes are posed to help find common threads for rehabilitation\n\nModule 2: Treatment Fundamentals Lecture (60 minutes) \n\nAn alternative to the kinesiopathological model of treatment is produced\nA case for simplicity is made\nClinical reasoning for safety\, potential red flags and contraindications to a biopsychosocial approach\nA simplified framework to incorporate both biomechanical treatments with psychosocial treatments is outlined\n\nModule 3: Reframing the Kinesiopathological Model (50 minutes) \n\nan exploration of the utility and limitations of the biomechanical model in pain and injury management\nintroduction to how the current biomedical model can be simplified and modified to be consistent with the best evidence of both pain science and biomechanical science\nExploration of the role of posture on pain\n\nModule 4: Targets of Exercise Prescription (1 hour and 10 minutes) \n\nA biopsychosocial approach to exercise and movement prescription is introduced\nCase studies are used to explore common and potential mechanisms of therapy\nAn in-depth review of exercise prescription and potential targets of knee osteoarthritis is explored\n\nModule 5: Exercise Prescription Dosage and Variables (1 hour) \n\nA review of the details of exercise prescription\nRepetitions\, sets\, volume\, intensity goals for common targets of exercise\nTopics will include strength\, hypertrophy\, power\, analgesia\, habituation\, range of motion\n\nModule 6: The comprehensive capacity model and the targets of exercise prescription. (1 hour and 45 minutes) \n\nA simplified approach to exercise prescription is shown\nThe importance of comprehensive capacity and movement options is highlighted and illustrated when it is necessary\nan evidence-based approach to understanding pain and rehabilitating common conditions\nan approach to understand the assessment of sensitivity in exercise prescription\ndemonstrations of the exercise interventions\ncase study autopsies are performed illustration common themes behind various treatment approaches and how a simplified intervention can be effective\nA review of common themes in tendinopathy and how that research can guide much clinical practice\n\nModule 7: Symptom Modification Model of Injury/Pain Management (2 hours and 20 minutes) \n\nthe comprehensive capacity and graded exposure approach to injury and pain treatment will be detailed\nstudents will learn a framework and simplified clinical reasoning tool to help guide therapy\nSymptom modification as clinical reasoning to guide interventions as demonstrated through case studies\nSpecial topics include Graded Exposure\, working with painful exercises\, movement modifications and graded activity.\nactive and passive approaches to the symptom modification interventions and how these manual therapy approaches are supported by exercise interventions will be taught.\n\nModule 8: Special topics in reconciling biomechanics (1 hour and 5 minutes) \n\nRe-evaluating the role of spine stability in low back pain\nQuestioning the role of knee valgus in knee cap related pain\n\nModule 9: When biomechanics matters (40 minutes) \n\nRe-evaluating the role of spine flexion as an independent risk factor for low back pain\nA framework for when movement quality and biomechanics are important for pain and injury via the research behind ACL injury and rehabilitation is proposed\nThe importance of habit interruption as a rationale for changing movement quality\n\nModule 10: Key Messages of Recovery and Pain Science (1 hour and 40 minutes) \n\nPain science primer\nIdentifying potential false beliefs that might influence pain and disability\nHow to deliver Key Messages that are chosen by false beliefs\nInterviewing techniques are illustrated to help change opinions and ultimately change behaviour\ncase studies are presented by the class and solved with facilitation from the instructor and the group\na reconceptualization of common clinical tests is demonstrated to show that much of our current testing can be modified to still be useful\nSpecific examples demonstrating how to begin meaningful treatment “when everything hurts” and all manual therapy and exercise therapy has failed                                                                                                                         \n\nLive Virtual Session–One (1) hour for every ten (10) participants: \n\nLive virtual Q&A scheduled\, November 3\, 2026\, at 6pm AST on Zoom.\nThe instructors will discuss the content covered in the self-paced module.\nThe instructors answer questions submitted by registrants.\nThe session will be recorded for all registrants that are unable to attend.\n\nAbout the Instructor\nDr. Greg Lehman is a physiotherapist\, chiropractor\, and strength and conditioning specialist with over 20 years of experience in rehabilitation\, education\, and research. Since graduating with honours from Eastern College in 2016\, she has completed extensive post-graduate training and research in TMJ dysfunction\, concussion and whiplash management\, cervical biomechanics\, fascial release\, and intraoral techniques. TMJ-related treatments now make up a significant portion of her clinical practice\, and she receives regular referrals from dentists\, chiropractors\, osteopaths\, and other allied health professionals. \nAs Louise’s practice evolved\, she observed a strong clinical correlation between TMJ dysfunction and both headache and migraine presentations. This led to the development of a secondary clinical focus in treating head pain – including tension-type headaches\, cervicogenic headaches\, post-concussion headaches\, migraine headaches\, and headache disorders secondary to jaw dysfunction. Her interest in head and neck injury management began prior to entering the profession\, while working and training closely with competitive Muay Thai and MMA fighters at her father’s gym\, where concussions\, jaw trauma\, and whiplash-type injuries are common. Louise began her career working alongside a local chiropractor\, before opening her own clinic\, Therapeutics Ltd.\, in 2018. In addition to her clinical work\, she served as a Clinic Supervisor for the Massage Therapy Program at Eastern College for a year and a half\, where she oversaw student development in assessment skills\, treatment planning\, and professional standards. Outside of clinical practice\, Louise has a longstanding background in athletics\, including Muay Thai instruction and personal training\, and is an avid runner. \nREGISTER HERE: http://REGISTER HERE: https://www.anbmt.ca/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Unravelling-Head-Pain-2026.pdf

As therapists\, it is our job to ensure we help our clients resolve their pain quickly and effectively.” \nImmediate application–after your first weekend seminar\, you will be well-equipped to be able to deal efficiently with your client’s pain and range of motion concerns. You will have a new understanding of the central nervous system’s role in the release of tissue tightness and how to achieve those changes quickly and with the least effort possible. Your clients will notice immediate changes and your business will grow exponentially. \nCurious about just what you will learn at a RAPID NeuroFascial Reset course? \nUpon successful completion of this course\, participants will be able to palpate and stimulate the nervous system to alter tissue tension. Participants will also have a firm grasp of the neurological basis for fascial and muscular relaxation of the tissues and understand how to access the neurobiological system in which the fascial system communicates. Participants will also understand the role of injury in its relationship with inflammation\, tissue tightness\, neuromuscular control and muscle imbalance in regard to the motor control center; as well as how all of these can contribute to increased tissue tension and pain. Participants will also gain an advanced understanding of the mechanoreceptors of the fascia\, as well as a method of manipulation to affect the greatest changes in tissue tension\, tightness and foremost pain. We hope you will join us! \nWhat will you learn? \nComplete neurological-based protocols to reduce tension in muscles\, nerves\, tendons and ligaments of the upper body. Which will include protocols for: \nUPPER BODY SEMINAR \n\nMigraines/headaches\nFrozen shoulder\nGolfer’s and tennis elbow\nBack pain\nWhiplash\nTMJ\nVertigo and Tinnitus\nArthritic Joints\nCarpal Tunnel\nNerve releases\nNumbness and tingling\nAnd\, much more.\n\nWho can take rapid?\nRAPID is open to all licensed health practitioners. It has been our experience that the hands-on portion of our system is best suited to those individuals who have hands on palpation and bodywork experience. \nHere is what you can expect when you join the RAPID NATION\, each RAPID class has… \n*Over 15 hours of video content and 115 technique videos to cover the treatment of many common pain conditions from back pain and sciatica to migraine headaches. \n*Lifetime online access to our private Facebook group of nearly 1000 health care practitioners or every designation-for support\, questions\, trouble shooting and to share your successes. \n*Forever access to us- yes us\, for questions\, so you never feel alone in your education. We initially struggled\, but over time\, we started to excel. Over time\, our competitors started to send their difficult clients to us\, and they started to ask us to share what we were doing. So\, we did\, and now we want to share it with you. \nOur classes were created out of a strong passion\, a shared vision\, and a ceaseless commitment to making learning easily accessible from anywhere in the world.
